Dry Skin Savers

My skin is pretty predictable and consistent most days of the year, but I notice that as we go through fall and into winter, my skin starts feeling dry and lackluster. For the past year or so I’ve finally figured out what works for my skin during those dryer days. Here are some of my top products…

Just for reference, I have combination skin and the thought of putting any kind of oil on my face really turned me off. However, last year I started using Josie Maran’s Argan Oil and Argan Milk and I have really noticed how my face looks and feels. Every morning I like to combine a few drops of Josie Maran’s 100% Pure Argan Oil with a few drops of the Pure Argan Milk to keep my skin fresh and hydrated throughout the day. I spend a lot of time in class rooms and in the library where the air-condition is cranked. Combining these two products I’ve really noticed that my skin doesn’t feel dry or flaky in the middle of the day, and I’ve even noticed that my foundation applies a lot smoother.

Every other evening I apply the Origins Renewal Cream and wake up to soft, plump skin. It is a pretty thick cream, so only a little is needed to cover the entire face.

My sister-in-law from Australia¬†came to visit a few weeks ago and brought me Lucas’ Papaw Ointment. It has become one of my favorite products because it has so much use! I like to put it on my hands or feet when they feel a little dry, and I even use it as chapstick. Lucas’ Papaw Ointment¬†soaks right in and doesn’t leave any nasty residue on your skin, which can be a problem with some other creams.

I’d love to know, what products do you suggest that are good for those days when your skin really needs some hydrating?
