2015 really flew by for me and I think college is to blame for that. When I’m in school the days seems to morph together in a blur. Being on break these past few weeks has really allowed me to slow down and appreciate the people, opportunities, and life around me. That’s not to say that I didn’t appreciate those things before, but having time to really sit back and absorb my surroundings has really opened my eyes to what I want to achieve in 2016.
This year I really want to consume and waste less of everything. I’m not talking about going on a crazy strict diet or giving away everything I own, but I want to buy only what my husband and I absolutely need, and use what we already have to the best of our ability. This includes everything from clothes to food to house supplies (furniture, decor, etc). When I look around our apartment there are a lot of things we don’t really need, they’re just nice to have or they look pretty on the shelf. Having things just for the sake of having things I feel is wrong and is something I want to work on.
I don’t want to call this my New Year’s resolution because this is something that I want to do better in not just this year, but every year from now on.
Do have anything you want to achieve this year or in the coming years?by
