It’s a cold gloomy day out and the sky can’t decide if it’s going to rain or not. I’ve got my lo-fi beats playing on in the background, a cup of tea in hand, and a surplus of green apples that I was supposed to use for a green juice. I could still make that green juice, but not sure if juice is what this day needs. Maybe I can whip up a delicious treat instead? Healthy or tasty…this is my internal dilemma. Can it be both? The strudel will have apples in it after all. Okay, I’m convinced!
This was my first time making apple strudel and it wasn’t as easy or quick to “whip up” as I thought. It takes a lot of time and patience to peel and slice every apple, let their juices drain, place it on the phyllo dough, wrap it up and throw it in the oven. The end result was delicious, but next time I’ll make it when I have an extra set of hands to use!
The recipe I used was from America’s Test Kitchen. I’ve followed their recipes before and only have good things to say about them. Watch below to see how I made this apple strudel!
