Let me start by saying not all ramen is created equal. The essence of this Japanese dish lies in the salty broth. The meat and vegetables also contribute to the flavor, but what really ties it all together is the broth. That being said, a new Japanese place opened up in the South Bay and I was curious to try it.
Tucked off the main street and hidden from traffic is this little shop called Ramen Shack Takumiya. Although small in size, they cook up mighty good ramen. I ordered the Spicy Miso, while my friend got the Tonkotsu Spicy. Both were delicious and everything you want it to be – hot, spicy, and rich in flavor. We also ordered gyoza to split between the two of us, and those did not disappoint. Their menu had quite a selection, so there’s no guessing I’ll be back for more. If you’re in the mood for ramen, look this place up and give them a try.
