I’ve always been a fan of mules, but was nervous to fully embrace them as an adult for fear of looking like my childhood self. However, I really like the functionality of mules, so I was willing to give them another try. While the Gucci mules are simple and all together chic, the astronomical price is enough to make almost anyone wince. So, in search the perfect pair I was looking at everything from the material, cut, embellishment, and comfort of the shoe.
Mules Review
To say that I was pleased when I found a more affordable option would be an understatement. These Louise et Cie and Franco Sarto mules are slightly different in design, but their comfort and affordability are what makes them keepers. The Louise et Cie shoes are akin to loafers making them a great pair to permanently keep by the door for those times when you’re rushing out of the house. The design and cut of the Franco Sarto ones looks sophisticated without being too stuffy, thanks to its slip on and off component.
The Gucci shoes are 100% leather and made in Italy, which adds to their luxurious appeal. I appreciate quality craftsmanship as much as the next person, but at what point does paying for the label become too expensive?
