Tis’ the season to bake pumpkin walnut bread. Anything pumpkin will work, actually. Even though I do love that flavor, I prefer it to be in the background. Funnily enough, this recipe does exactly that. The bread is soft and moist, and the pumpkin flavor is there, but it’s not overbearing. I also love the crunch of the walnuts because it adds texture and flavor that pairs particularly well with a bold espresso. The other week I made two loaves and gave one to my friends. I can’t tell you how was chuffed I was when I saw how impressed they were with my bread. If you’re planning or attending any Halloween parties this month, I recommend giving this recipe a try.
