Starry Sweater

The majority of my sweaters are basic, classic colors like black, brown, beige, and pink. I like my neutral colored sweaters, they always work and are sure to go with pretty much everything. However, when I saw this star sweater while shopping on Black Friday I was struck my its cuteness. You could even say I was star struck (ha!). I’ve worn this starry sweater multiple times now, and each time received a complement. I bought it from J. Crew, but it’s now sold out. This Brandy Melville and H&M sweaters are great alternatives though.

Starry Sweater Review

What I like most about this sweater is that the stars are sewn into it, which makes it look much more luxurious. The merino wool is a nice touch, but I wear a tank top underneath to keep it from being too itchy. The sweater is true to size, but like most of J. Crew’s sweaters, it’s a loose fit. Here I wore it with my favorite black denim, but with holiday parties coming up, I can see myself wearing it tucked into a leather skirt. Come summer I can pair it with a red skirt or white jeans to keep me warm on cool nights.

I was a bit skeptical on how much wear I would be able to get out of this starry sweater, but have since been convinced that it’s a fun piece that breaks up the neutral collection of my other sweaters.
